Who we are
A local trade, run properly
Dagley's Plumbing and Heating Ltd is a licensed, insured, locally owned contractor working out of Bridgewater — the kind of outfit your neighbours already have in their phone.
Our story
Built on repeat customers
[DRAFT COPY — CONFIRM FOUNDING YEAR, OWNER NAME AND HISTORY]
Dagley's has been serving Bridgewater and the South Shore since [YEAR FOUNDED], and the business has grown the way trades in a small town always do — one job at a time, on the strength of what the last customer told their neighbour.
[OWNER NAME] started the company after [YEARS IN TRADE] years in the trade, with a fairly simple idea: show up when you say you will, explain what's actually wrong, and charge what you quoted. That's not a revolutionary business plan. It just turns out to be rarer than it should be.
Today we handle everything from a dripping tap in a Hebbville bungalow to a full heating system replacement in a century home in Lunenburg — plus commercial work for local businesses, landlords and property managers.
Why local matters here
South Shore houses have their own quirks. Century homes with three generations of plumbing stacked on top of each other. Seasonal properties that need draining down properly every fall. Rural places running their own well and septic. Coastal equipment living out its life in salt air.
A contractor driving down from the city sees a job. We see a house we've probably worked on before — or one very like it, three roads over.

How we work
Four things we don't compromise on
Every trade says they're honest and reliable. Here's what that actually means on a Dagley's job.
Do it to code
Work that passes inspection, every time — because the shortcut that saves an hour today is the callback that costs a day next winter.
Quote before we start
You hear the price and the options before a tool comes out. The invoice matches the quote — no surprise line items, no pressure.
Explain it plainly
You'll be told what failed, why it failed, and what your realistic options are — in language that doesn't need a trade ticket to follow.
Answer the phone
Calls go to someone who can actually help. Emergencies get triaged first, and you get a straight answer on timing rather than a ticket number.
Licensed & insured
The paperwork behind the van
Anyone can own a pipe wrench. Being allowed to work on your heating system is a different matter — and if a contractor can't produce this on request, that tells you something.
We're happy to provide certificates of insurance and licensing for insurance claims, mortgage conditions, or property-management records. Just ask when you book.

Our work
Judge us on the finished job
Most of what we do ends up behind a basement door, so here's a look at it while the lights are still on.
What to expect
On the day we visit
No mystery, no runaround — four steps from your phone call to a tidy job site.
-
You call
Describe what's happening. We'll tell you whether it's urgent, what it's likely to be, and when we can get there.
-
We assess
On site we find the actual cause, explain it in plain language, and lay out your options — repair, replace, or leave it for now.
-
You approve
You get the price before any work starts. Nothing gets done that you haven't agreed to.
-
We finish clean
The work gets done properly, tested, and the site left tidy. You get an invoice that matches the quote.
