Chemical drain cleaner is a bad answer to a good question. It rarely clears a real blockage, it sits in the trap doing damage to older cast-iron and plastic alike, and it turns a straightforward job into a hazardous one for whoever opens the pipe next. We clear drains with the right tool for the pipe.
The more useful part is what comes after. A drain that blocks repeatedly is telling you something structural — a bellied section holding water, root intrusion at a joint, or a fixture that was never vented properly when someone remodelled. Worth knowing before you pay to clear it a fourth time.

One slow fixture versus several
A single slow sink is usually a local blockage in that trap or branch. Several fixtures slowing down together — especially the lowest ones in the house — points at the main line, and that one is worth calling about before it backs up rather than after.

Before you book
Will a bottle of drain cleaner sort it?
Rarely, and it can make things worse. It seldom shifts a genuine blockage, it can damage older pipe and seals, and it leaves caustic liquid sitting in the line for whoever opens it next. If a plunger hasn't done it, it's worth a call.
Why does the same drain keep blocking?
Because something about that section is catching debris — a bellied run holding water, a partial root intrusion, a rough joint, or a fixture with inadequate venting. Repeat blockages in the same spot are a diagnosis waiting to happen.
Who's responsible for the line out to the street?
Generally the property owner is responsible for the lateral from the house to the municipal connection, but the boundary varies by municipality. If the blockage turns out to be past your property line we'll tell you, so you're not paying for work that isn't yours.
